Elkie The Donkey At Odds Farm Park
Elkie The Donkey At Odds Farm Park

Visitors to family day out favourite, Odds Farm Park, will be delighted to learn that, on Sunday 3 June, resident donkey Piper gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy named Elkie.  Beautifully white and beige in colouring, he is extremely cute and set to become a firm farmyard favourite with children on a day out.  Up and walking within hours of being born, Elkie is enjoying life in the paddocks, albeit staying close to mum!

Elkie is just one big fluffy bundle of cuteness and looks like a huge cuddly toy.  Mum, Piper, arrived at Odds Farm Park in the Summer of 2009 and this is her second foal.  She is a fantastic mother and bonding with Elkie extremely well. The new arrival to the children’s farm will drink his mother’s milk for about six months, before starting to eat grass and hay as well.
