Even wild animals love days out at Odds Farm Park. For the first year ever, Wild Moorhens and their cute chick have taken up residence in the Childrens Farm’s Duck pond, alongside wild ducks and adorable ducklings.

For kids visiting this childrens farm on a family day out, the Moorhens can be found near the Duck House in the centre of the pond. Elsewhere at Odds Farm Park, days out with the kids include meeting other new baby animals face to face, joining in with Hands-on Animal Activities and watching the fun and educational Animal Demonstrations.

Providing a great family day out, Odds Farm Park can be easily reached from Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, North London and West London. For more information to arrange to visit this childrens farm, the family days out website is www.oddsfarm.co.uk

Adventure Maze at Odds Farm

At Children’s Farm Odds Farm Park, kids on a family day out during the school holidays will be able to enjoy a brand new Adventure Maze layout and brand new maze theme. Plus with the layout constantly changing, there’s always a new maze for children to solve. Behind the scenes at Odds Farm Park, there’s so much not seen by those on a family day out. And currently the children’s farm Livestock Team are undertaking their least glamorous job of the year; spring cleaning all Odds Farm Park’s outside animal houses.

With 28 paddocks at this Kids Farm (the summer home for all the cute pigs, sheep, goats, cows and horses), this is a huge job.  And especially when you bear in mind every paddock you see on a day out has 1 wooden shelter; ranging from 8 smaller pigs arcs to the 20 larger shelters.

Family days out at Odds Farm Park is all about kids can get really close to the animals, either walking around the childrens farm or taking part in the Hands-On Animal Activities and Demonstrations.

Providing a great family day out, Odds Farm Park can be easily reached from Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, North London and West London. For more information to arrange a day out with the kids, visit the family days out website, www.oddsfarm.co.uk

Lambs Go Out To Play

Lambs at Odds Farm

Lambs at Odds Farm

With the summer here, the last of Odds Farm Park’s lambs have just been weaned from their mums and released into the field for the summer and are looking forward to meeting you on your family days out.

At this childrens farm, there are 6 different breeds of lambs to see including Balwens, Jacob, Castlemilk Moorit, Greyface Dartmoor, Whitefaced Woodland and Herdwicks. Now between 4 and 6 months old, the lambs no longer rely upon their mothers for milk but do still enjoy cheeky play; always enjoyable to watch on a day out with the kids.

Kids visiting Odds Farm Park on a family day out can also enjoy plenty of play themselves, either on the Go Karts, in the Adventure Maze, on the Outdoor Log Play Areas or at the Dipple Playing Field.

Providing a great family day out, Odds Farm Park can be easily reached from Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, North London and West London. For more information to arrange to visit this childrens farm, the family days out website, www.oddsfarm.co.uk

Kids on a family day out at Odds Farm Park have a new Bale Climb to scramble, clamber and crawl through.

Changing every 2 months, the latest Bale Climb contains over 35 very large bales of straw (so large in fact 2-3 people are required to roll one over!) and took 5 people about 3 hours to build with the help of two tractors.  There is a great art to building the Bale Climb, which is based within the childrens farm’s indoor Playbarn and we are glad to say youngsters are giving a big ‘thumbs up’ to the new layout.

Children playing within the Playbarn can also board Ride-On Toys and zoom down the Astra Side, wide enough for mums and dads to enjoy too on family days out. Alternatively, parents can take a well deserved break in the adjacent Playbarn Gallery, whilst your little ones continue to enjoy their day out on the soft play.

Odds Farm Park is a great venue for family days out and is located within easy reach from North London, West London, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. For more information to arrange a day out with the kids, visit the main childrens farm website, www.oddsfarm.co.uk

Odds Farm Park’s mascot Rodney Pig has had a busy year to date. Since arriving at the Farm Park, Rodney Pig has had a great time helping the farmers feed the animals and even helped with Egg Collecting. Rodney is a cheeky little piglet and very friendly.

He loves meeting kids visiting on a day out, as do Odds Farm Parks other Furry Friends. The rabbits in Rabbit World love to be stroked, the ponies adore being patted and the greedy sheep and goats can’t get enough of the yummy food children can hand feed. Chick Chick Chick Chick Chickens

Chicks at Odds Farm

Chicks at Odds Farm

Did you know Odds Farm Park is home to 5 different breeds of chickens? All different colours and sizes, they shouldn’t be missed on a family day out to this children’s farm.

The Buff Orpington Chicken is the rarest breed of chicken at Odds Farm Park. With less than 500 breeding females left, they are classified as ‘Rare’ by the Rare Breed Survival Trust. They date back to 1894, when they were introduced to satisfy the demand for buff coloured birds. With their heavy soft feathers, these already large birds look even bigger, have a soft almost fluffy appearance and a rich golden colour.

Days out at this childrens farm also enables families to see Belgium Barbu D’Uccle Chickens, Light Sussex Chickens, Maran Chickens and Polish Chickens.  On a day out with the kids, you can get extremely close to some of our poultry friends in the fun children’s activity, Egg Collecting, plus children can help put the chickens to bed in the daily Eggs & Bacon activity.

Plus, this summer, meet the new baby chicks. Children can watch cute little Buff Orpington and Maran chicks with their mums and dads in the coops next to the Adventure Maze.

Offering plenty of family day out fun, this childrens farm is easily reached from West London, North London, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. For Odds Farm Park’s days out website, visit www.oddsfarm.co.uk.
