Odds Farm Park’s mascot Rodney Pig recently visited Santa’s Grotto and Santa, kick starting the Christmas Fun at this childrens farm. Being his first ever Santa visit, Rodney was extremely excited and loved meeting Father Christmas and taking home a wonderful toy.

Children on a day out at Odds Farm Park can meet Santa every weekend until 20 December, plus additionally from 21 until 24 December. During the Christmas season families visiting Odds Farm Park can enjoy free Festive Puppet Shows, with of course a very special Santa puppet. In total, there are five shows for kids to enjoy on their day out, at regular intervals throughout the day.

Alongside the fun Santa puppet, children can also meet Robbie the Reindeer and Mrs Christmas. The shows take place every weekend until 20 December and also include Yuletide Sing-Alongs and fun Christmas stories.

A visit to this childrens farm wouldn’t be complete at this time of year without a visit to Santa in his Magical Grotto (a charge is made to cover Santa’s Gift) and free Yummy Treats on the Christmas Tree in the Gift Shop.

With Santa’s arrival on 28 November, preparations are busily underway building his Festive Grotto at this Childrens Farm. Taking up residence in his new home every weekend, Santa is looking forward to meeting children on days out every Saturday and Sunday until 20 December and additionally from 21 until 24 December. This Halloween Half Term families can enjoy free Spooky Puppet Shows at Odds Farm Park’s childrens farm. In total, there are five shows for kids to enjoy on their day out, taking place at regular intervals throughout the day.

A much loved event for those on family days out, Odds Farm Park’s Halloween Fun starts on October 3rd and runs every weekend in October and daily during Half Term.

On these special ghoulish days, children can carve a Spooky Pumpkin and also follow the Witches Trail and win a special treat at the end.  Plus any child turning up for their day out in Halloween Fancy Dress can even carve their pumpkin at no extra cost.

Halloween is always popular for everyone at this children’s farm as it enables kids to get their hands dirty scooping out and carving their pumpkins, without making any mess at home! Elsewhere on the farm, days out with the kids include Tractor & Trailer Rides, Sheep Racing, Go Karts and an Indoor Playbarn with Bale Climb and three lane Astra Slide.  Plus no visit would be complete without a visit to the Animal Demonstration Barn.

Odds Farm Park’s Charity Mascot Race took place on Friday 21 August at 1pm, much to the delight of visitors on their family day out. With four eager mascots taking part, all wanting to win, the contestants included Sting from London Wasps; Bertie Bear from Slough’s Snakes and Ladders; Shaggy from Leighton Buzzard’s Mead Open Farm and of course, the ‘day out with the kids’ favorite, Rodney Pig from Odds Farm Park.

After plenty of cuddles from children on their day out, the race around the Sheep Race Track was soon underway. Jumping over miniature jumps wasn’t easy for their massive feet, and Shaggy the Cow soon developed a short lead, however, he was piped at the post by Cheeky Rodney Pig (who took a short cut!). Sting came in a close third, followed by Bertie Bear taking up the rear.

Visitors could guess the winning mascot and win great prizes. An annual ticket for a family of 4 to Odds Farm Park; a family day out to Mead Open Farm; a family day out to Snakes & Ladders and a family ticket to watch the London Wasps Rugby Team on 30 September. The list of winners has been put up in the Playbarn.

Much fun was had by all and £139.06 was raised by the visitors on their day out and made up to £200 by Odds Farm Park for the Alexander Devine Children’s Cancer Trust. Based in Slough, they are raising funds to build a new children’s hospice.

Until the end of the summer school holidays, Sheep Racing is now on twice daily at this childrens farm. Always one of the most popular family day out activities, it enables mums, dads and children to get fully involved in this animal activity and guess the winning sheep.

The fun Sheep Race takes place around a miniature race track, with miniature jumps and miniature jockeys.  Everyone who guesses the winning sheep correctly will take home a momento of their day out: an Odds Farm Park winners badge!

Elsewhere at Odds Farm Park, children will be able to hand feed plenty of greedy sheep, meet numerous new baby goats and enjoy the unlimited Outdoor Log Play Areas. Days out at this childrens farm are definitely special!

Children’s farm, Odds Farm Park were delighted to sponsor one of the races for the local Donkey Derby on Saturday 23 May, supporting cancer charities, Madame Curie and the Thames Hospice Care.

Providing a great day out for the family, the fun event was organised by the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches for the 18th year running. The Odds Farm Park Chase started at 3.20pm with 7 donkeys in the race, Chorus Nyamakunda on donkey Goldfinger was the first to cross the finish line.

Friendly donkeys can also be met on a day out at Odds Farm Park, alongside rabbits, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, horses and cute baby animals. Plus with plenty of Animal Demonstrations, Indoor Playbarn with Astra Slide, an Adventure Maze, Go Karts and Outdoor Play, there’s so much to do.
