New Resident At Odds Farm Park
Great family day out news! On Monday 7 December a new resident has arrived at this childrens farm Odds Farm Park, Womble a cute Kune Kune young boar, who is only 3 months old. Once he is 6 to 8 months old he will be put in the pens to hopefully breed with our resident sows. Born at a farm near Hastings, he can now be met in the new Animal Barns by children on days out.
In fact, there are currently plenty of piglets at this childrens farm, all born onsite in the last few weeks. Plus those on a family day out, can also meet Tamworth, Gloucester Old Spot, Middle White and Saddleback pigs. In addition to pigs, days out for children also include numerous rabbits, cows, donkeys, goats, sheep, ponies and chickens. It’s a farmyard full of fun!
And no visit is complete without a play in the Playbarn with the Bale Climb, Astra Slide and Ride-on Toys.
On Tuesday 8 December, visitors on a day out had a first glance of Odds Farm Park’s Gloucestershire Old Spot pig Splodge’s litter of cute piglets. They were born in the early hours of the morning at this childrens farm. The new arrivals are already on show and can all be seen on your next family day out to this kids farm.
With dad Arthur also a Gloucester Old Spot, the piglets are 100% Gloucester Old Spot and have the distinctive markings of the breed. Arthur is also the proud father of Barley’s piglets, Odds Farm Park’s Kune Kune pig, who were born at this kids farm in November and these piglets are half brothers and sisters of Splodge’s new babies. Splodge is quite protective at present, with all the piglets doing extremely well under mum’s watchful eye. They can be seen in the pigsty and through the window in the Tea Room.
