- A lambing Ewe
- The After Birth or
- A newly born Lamb
All Ewes at Odds Farm Park are vaccinated with TOXOVAX during the autumn to provide additional protection for our visitors. Toxoplasmosis has never been found in Sheep at Odds Farm Park.
Please note:
There is a potential risk from handling a new born lamb, so all of our newly born lambs and sheep are kept in their pens away from the public. You can still see them, but cannot touch them. As the infection is caught by ingesting (eating) the organism, there is no risk of contracting Toxoplasmosis from being in a field or pen with older lambs. It is always essential to wash your hands after handling animals and before eating, especially when pregnant
