Activities & attractions

Are there activities for all weather?

Yes! Odds Farm Park offers both indoor and outdoor attractions, making it a great day out in any weather.

Indoor soft play rules

The rules are to keep everyone who visits the soft play happy and safe. When you enter the soft play you are automatically agreeing to follow these rules and listen to all staff instructions.

  • Clean your hands before and after all play. Wash with soap and water, or use hand sanitiser.

  • Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Socks must be worn at all times. To use the slides leggings or trousers and long-sleeved tops must also be worn, shirts need to be tucked in. To use the red drop slide, you must be over 90cm tall.

  • Encourage your children to play according to their age and ability. Special soft play areas are provided for under 2’s and under 5’s.

  • Before playing, shoes must be removed along with all items of jewellery, watches, belts, scarves etc. which could get caught up.

  • People who wear glasses or contact lenses should take particular care.

  • Food and drink may not be consumed in the play areas.

  • Use the slides correctly – only one person at a time, go down feet first and move away quickly once you reach the bottom.

  • Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Children who are unwell should not use the play equipment. If your child has an accident whilst on the play frame you must inform the staff immediately.

  • At peak times, the restricted capacity will be available on a first-come-first-served basis, with the possibility that not all guests will have the opportunity to play.

Our staff are here to assist with the smooth running of the adventure play areas. It is the responsibility of Parents/Adults to ensure their child wears the correct clothing, behaves appropriately and is supervised at all times.

Am I able to bring my own food?

We offer a variety of delicious food options for our birthday parties, allowing us to cater for a range of tastes and requirements. Therefore, party guests are not permitted to bring their own food or arrange food deliveries from external suppliers.

This policy helps us maintain food safety standards and ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests. Any food deliveries to the farm will be politely declined.

We ask that all food arrangements follow these guidelines, as bringing in unapproved food or deliveries may affect your party experience.

Am I permitted to bring an entertainer to our party?

If you are hosting a Classic party, you will be welcome to bring an entertainer but please note they will need to remain within your party room/ party area and not in the shared communal space. We will also need the entertainer to provide their Public Liability Insurance prior to the date of the visit. Should they need time to set up, this will need to be done within your party time, and they will not be permitted early access.

Please ensure to make us aware you would like to bring an entertainer at least 7 days before your party so we can include them on your guest list as they will need to be paid for as an additional guest.

If you are hosting a Tea & Tumble party, the same rules apply as the Classic Party however, we would generally not recommend bringing an entertainer as it is a shorter party.

Are there any additional items that I can purchase to enhance my child’s birthday party?

Yes! We offer a full range of food and drink add-ons from our party menu, including options that are perfect if you would like to cater for adults attending the celebration too. For an additional charge, we can also offer exclusive indoor soft play hire, silent discos and foam parties, subject to availability. Amendments to your booking - including advising us of dietary requirements- must be made no later than 7 days before your party. Any additional guests added after this time will need to pay the full daily admission rate on the day.

What time can I access my party room?

For classic parties, access to the party rooms will begin at either 10:00am if you have booked for the morning slot, or 2:00pm for the afternoon slot. We cannot allow access any earlier than these times. If you would like time to decorate your room, we recommend asking your guests to arrive 15-20 minutes after the slot start time.

For Tea & Tumble parties, the party space can also only be accessed from the start of the time of the party at 15:00pm. Again, if you wish to have some time in the space prior to your guests arriving, we recommend inviting them to arrive later.

When do I pay the final balance for my party?

Once we have received your final guest list, you will be required to make your balance payment no later than 7 days prior to your event.

As part of our active breeding and rare breed conservation programmes, we welcome baby animals throughout the year, giving children the opportunity to learn about animal lifecycles while enjoying plenty of adorable farmyard moments.

In spring, you'll often find playful lambs and kid goats bouncing around our barns and paddocks. Throughout the year we welcome piglets, while summer is a busy season for calves, pony foals and donkey foals too.

Of course, nature works to its own timetable, so we can't guarantee that a particular animal will have recently given birth. However, we welcome lots of babies every year, and if you're hoping to meet a specific new-born animal, please get in touch before your visit and we'll be happy to advise what's currently on the farm.

If meeting our Highland cows is a must-do during your visit, we'd recommend getting in touch with our team beforehand and we'll be happy to let you know whether they're currently out and about on the farm.

I am pregnant, can I visit the site?

Yes, you can. If you are pregnant, please be aware that during our lambing and kidding seasons there is a risk associated with toxoplasmosis and other livestock-related infections. We recommend reading the guidance below before your visit, as well as discussing any specific concerns regarding visiting the farm during pregnancy with your midwife, doctor or other healthcare professional before you visit.

Toxoplasmosis & Lambing

Toxoplasmosis can cause severe damage to an unborn child if a woman catches it for the first time when pregnant. Toxoplasmosis may be caught by ingesting the organism when handling:

  • A lambing Ewe

  • The After Birth

  • A newly born Lamb

All Ewes at Odds Farm Park are vaccinated with TOXOVAX during the autumn to provide additional protection for our visitors. Toxoplasmosis has never been found in Sheep at Odds Farm Park.

Please note:

There is a potential risk from handling a new born lamb, so all of our newly born lambs and sheep are kept in their pens away from the public. You can still see them, but cannot touch them. As the infection is caught by ingesting (eating) the organism, there is no risk of contracting Toxoplasmosis from being in a field or pen with older lambs. It is always essential to wash your hands after handling animals and before eating, especially when pregnant.
