These FAQ’s are designed to help our visitors prepare for their visit to Odds Farm Park, so please read on to find out answers to your questions related to the reopening of Odds Farm Park. We can’t wait to see you!

Odds Farm Park has implemented many new measures to assist our guests to feel confident in carrying out social distancing while visiting.

The changes include:

  • Daily visitor numbers will be capped to ensure that not only does the Farm adhere to Government guidelines, but to also ensure guests can safely distance themselves during their visit.
  • There will be some changes to the facilities that will be open, especially those that are more difficult to adapt to allow social distancing. We hope to phase these areas back in as soon as possible, once Government guidelines permit and we are confident that the systems are in place to ensure that necessary health and safety requirements can be met. You can read about this later on.
  • New signage and wayfinding can be found to ensure safe social distancing. Designated queuing and distancing markers are around the Farm, to encourage guests to adhere to necessary distances from other customers and staff. This will be particularly present in any queuing areas, at till points, within bathrooms and other areas where guests could gather.
  • One-way systems will be implemented in certain areas. This will further assists guests in ensuring that necessary distances can be maintained between one another. One-way systems will be present within bathrooms and at food collection points.
  • Odds Farm Park will be a contactless site. Guests will be able to gain admission, make purchases, and even order and collect food and beverages, without making contact with Odds Farm Park staff. A new Odds Farm Park App is also now available, which allows guests to order Food and Beverages throughout several of our catering outlets. More details can be found later on.
  • Protective Perspex screens will be at all staff and guests till and interaction points, to provide further confidence to guests and staff alike. These will also be located within the Tractor and Trailer Ride, to allow each family group to distance themselves from one another safely.
  • Prior to arrival at the Admissions Entrance, you can choose to either use our traditional entrance path, or our Alternative Woodland Path. Upon approaching the Entrance, social distancing markers will be in place to support social distancing.
  • All guests and team members will be required to wear a face covering in all indoor areas, as per the Government guidelines upon the day of your visit.

Yes, the only way to visit is to pre-book your admission tickets online. This will allow us to control and capacity manage the total number of guests visiting on any given day. This in turn will ensure that social distancing requirements can be maintained, and will also allow guests to make a completely contactless visit to Odds Farm Park.

Guests may book an arrival time of their choice, and stay at the Farm as long as they wish. The arrival time sessions last for 30 minutes each, and you can arrive at any time during that session. For example, if you have booked the 10:00am session, you are welcome to arrive at any time between 10:00am and 10:29am, and then remain at the Farm until close at 5:30pm.

It is essential that Guests and Annual Members arrive only during their 30 minute booked time session. If you arrive early, we kindly ask that you wait in your car until your arrival time session starts. We reserve the right to refuse entry to late arrivals. If you are running late, we kindly ask that you remain in your car and call the Farm directly, where we will endeavour to reschedule you for an alternative session that day. Please note that if all other sessions are fully-booked, you may be asked to return on another day.

Unfortunately, Annual Members will not be permitted to walk-up, and must also book an admission session. Members will be required to input their Memberships Reference Number, which can be found on the back of the Membership Card at the time of booking. Members must also present the Membership Card upon arrival at the Farm, alongside their Order Confirmation.

Annual Members will be required to pay a fully refundable booking fee of £10.00 per booking. Please note that upon arrival and redemption of your booking at the Farm, within the booked Arrival Session, the booking fee will be refunded. Should you fail to show, nor contact us to cancel, we will retain the booking fee.

Complimentary Passes can be used to make an online booking. Passes that were due to expire 21st March 2020- 11th April 2021, will be extended until 31st December 2021. Complimentary Tickets exclude Saturdays, selected peak times and special events for example Easter, Halloween and Christmas. For further information, please get in touch with us directly at main@oddsfarm.co.uk

Simply get in touch with us as soon as possible, and we will look to transfer your booking to an alternative date or time. Unfortunately we cannot issue any refunds for cancellations. We cannot guarantee that we can change the date of your visit, however we will make all reasonable efforts to do so as long as you contact us more than 48 hours before your scheduled visit date.

If you are an Annual Member and have made a booking that you can no longer attend, you must inform Odds Farm Park as soon as possible. Failure to attend will result in a charge or suspension of your Membership(s).

Please get in touch with us at main@oddsfarm.co.uk.

Yes, at this time, some areas may continue to remain closed. Guests can view which areas of the Farm are available on our Interactive Map, and discover further information such as restrictions and opening times around each area of the Farm.

The number of toilets available to use in certain areas will also be reduced, to ensure that guests can safely distance from one another.

Odds Farm Park may close or partially restrict volume in certain areas, at any given time, without prior notice.

In addition, there is a seasonal closure of certain areas. Over the winter months, H2Odds water play, Marmalade’s Mini Rovers and the Oddllotment will close. Some of our animals are not on display in the paddocks outside during the colder months, because they may have been moved to our winter paddocks where there is more shelter available, or into our undercover Animal Barn to keep warm (where they are still on display for our visitors to see). Due to this seasonal change to our animal displays, the Tractor & Trailer rides also pause over the winter.

Please always speak to member of the team for advice on the best place to view a certain animal you may be interested in meeting.

As an outdoor family farm park attraction, we have always actively encouraged regular handwashing for all guests. We ask our guests to observe good hygiene practices when they visit by washing their hands at one of the many handwashing stations upon arrival and regularly throughout their visit. Please find more information about our Covid-measures here.

In order to further assist guests, details of the infrastructure that can be found, is as follows:

  • Five Designated Handwashing Stations are found throughout the Farm Park. Guests must ensure they regularly wash their hands with running water and soap throughout their visit.
  • New Hand Sanitising stations can be found at fourteen locations through the Farm. Handwashing with warm soapy water should always take precedence for guests to maintain good hand hygiene when visiting Odds Farm Park, however these stations are in place to assist with good hygiene between washes.
  • Three bathroom facility blocks are available, each also with associated handwashing stations.  These are located within the Playbarn, next to the Animal Barn, and in the Dipple Field. In order to assist with social distancing, the Playbarn and Animal Barn toilets will have one-way systems in place, and a reduced number of operating toilets available.

There are two main reasons to be aware of:

1. Hand sanitiser does not kill all germs, and there will always be some left on your hands.

2. Hand sanitiser does not remove dirt. It will simply move it around your hands. The dirt will still harbour germs.

In order to stop the spread of Coronavirus, the only suitable treatment for germs is to wash your hands with soap and warm running water, for at least twenty seconds, followed by drying with paper towels, which should be disposed of in the bins provided.

Guests are then welcome to use hand sanitiser after washing, or between washes.

We kindly ask guests to ensure all paper towels used for drying are disposed of directly into the bins provided, in order to help control the spread of Covid-19 and to assist our staff.

Adults must ensure the children in their care are cleaning their hands thoroughly, and disposing of paper towels only into the bins provided.

Our cleaning routines are now enhanced, and you’ll see our team frequently cleaning and disinfecting around the Farm, with extra focus on high traffic areas and touch points. This includes:

  • Regular and thorough cleaning of hand washing stations, hand sanitising stations and bathrooms.
  • More frequent cleaning throughout the day of the picnic areas and tables available.
  • Frequent cleaning at all guest/staff interaction points, such as tills, food collection points, Marmalade’s Farm Shop, to name but a few.
  • Full clean down of the Tractor and Trailer Ride between each journey.
  • Thorough cleaning of other guest contact areas, including doors, bins and highchairs, between each use.

Under current Government Guidelines, you must wear a face covering in indoor areas at Odds Farm Park. This will include Marmalade’s Farm Shop, Farm Entrance and Main Barn, the Food Collection Point and the Animal Barn.

Guests will be required to put on their mask before entering, and must not remove it until they have exited the indoor area. Government guidelines do outline certain legitimate reasons as to when guests do not need to wear a face covering, which includes young children under the age of 11 and not being able to put on, wear or remove a face covering due to a physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability. Please see the Government website for more exceptions.

Guest should bring their own face coverings with them to the Farm. There is a 50p charge if guests require to purchase a covering.

Due to implementation of social distancing measures, increased hand cleanliness and increased cleaning protocols, guests and employees are not normally required to wear personal protective equipment, when enjoying the Farm Park outside.

Ensure to bring with you any personal protection you may require to feel safe and confident during your visit to Odds Farm. For example any Hand Sanitiser, Anti-bacterial wipes, and facial coverings, that you may require.

We respectfully ask that guests will assess for themselves whether they and all members of their family group are in good health and not displaying any symptoms of Covid-19. If guests are vulnerable or have any underlying health conditions, we also kindly ask that you make a responsible decision for yourself and others around you, when deciding to visit.

1. Wash your hands prior to setting off for your journey at home, and repeat upon arrival at Odds Farm Park.
Guests should be reminded the most effective protection against the spread of COVID-19, and other germs, is through thorough hand washing with soap and warm water, for at least 20 seconds. Hand Sanitisers do not kill all germs, and the use of them should never replace handwashing.

2. Ensure to bring with you any personal protection you may require to feel safe and confident during your visit to Odds Farm.
For example, Hand Sanitiser, Anti-bacterial wipes, and facial coverings, that you may require. Face coverings must be worn in all indoor areas, as per the Government guidelines upon the day of your visit.

3. Plan ahead for any meals you would like to enjoy whilst at the Farm.
Marmalade’s Tearoom will be closed for indoor dining, however food will still be available to purchase for outdoor consumption. Orders can be placed through our website, or via our new App. Guests are most welcome to bring their own picnics with them, which can be enjoyed throughout the park at any of our socially distanced picnic tables.

4. Ensure your children are prepared for their socially distanced visit.
Please be mindful that the layout and offering at Odds Farm Park will be different to guest’s previous visit. Certain areas are unavailable to use during the first phase of our re-opening, layouts and routes will be altered, and permitted activities may operate differently. Children too will need to be mindful of ensuring social distancing at all times. Certain play items will not be available that previously were, such as footballs, and guests are encouraged to bring and use their own.

If it is safe to do so, please make a member of staff aware in person. You are required to inform us of this, so we can ensure the safety of yourselves, all other guests and employees. All persons in your group will be required to leave the Farm immediately if an individual feels unwell, and a specialist exit route is in place to avoid contact with other guests.

Should you or anyone in your household be displaying symptoms of Covid-19 prior to your visit, including those who live in your household or ‘bubble’ but are not intending to visit the farm, you must not visit Odds Farm Park.

We respectfully ask that guests will assess for themselves whether they and all members of their group are in good health and not displaying any symptoms of Covid-19. If guests are vulnerable or have any underlying health conditions, we also kindly ask that you make a responsible decision for yourself and others around you, when deciding to visit.

Yes! To further assist with social distancing, as well as to minimise contact, cash-handling and visitor queueing, we have introduced an online pre-ordering system for all food and beverages. Guests can download our new App, or visit our website to view our menus, and place an order. Upon confirmation that the order is ready, guests will be able to collect their order from the Food Collection Point, which will be shown at the time of booking.

Other catering points, such as the Coffee and Ice-cream Parlour and the Airstream may also be available on the day of your visit for contactless purchases.

Where possible, one person per family group should attend the Food Collection Points.

Guests will then be able to enjoy their meals at any of our outside picnicking areas, or within an undercover marquee. All tables and picnic benches will be socially distanced. Guests who have bought their own food, will be able to enjoy it at a place of their choosing throughout the farm park. We kindly ask that guests dispose of all food waste, packaging and waste directly into the bins provided.

Guests who would prefer to pay by cash, rather than the contactless App or website, can do so by placing orders at the Coffee Bar.

Re-usable coffee cups will not be accepted at this time.

High Chairs are available for guests to use. These will be cleaned between each use, and we kindly ask that guests only take high chairs from the designated Highchair Pick-up Point, and return them after use to the Drop-off Point, so they can be cleaned and prepared for use for the next guest.

Condiments and cutlery will no longer be self-service and will be provided with each order upon collection.

The social distancing measures in place have been implemented to support our staff as equally as our guests. Odds Farm Park staff will be confident in carrying out their roles while continuing to maintain social distances between themselves and all other employees at any one time.

Staff working to clean key contact areas around the farm, as well as at customer interaction points, will ensure to wear personal protection. All staff-only areas, including break areas, will maintain the same social distancing regulations, with hand washing and hand sanitising also being a top priority.

First Aid is still available to all guests who require it. Simply let a member of staff know, or call us on 01628 502188, and a member of the team can come to you. Our First Aid Room has been relocated and when appropriate, social distancing will continue to be maintained.

Guests may be encouraged to carry out simple First Aid on themselves and family, with guidance from the First Aider.

Marmalade’s Farm Shop is still open for guests to visit. In order to ensure safe social distancing, the layout of the Farm Shop has been redeveloped, with the number of guests able to enter at one time being restricted. We have also limited some of our product lines, to allow for easy movement. If you are interested in a particular item, which you cannot see currently on display, simply speak to a member of the team who will be happy to assist you.

Guests should endeavour to only touch items that they intend to purchase.

We have also launched a selection of our most popular edible items available to Click & Collect through our website and new App.

Upon re-opening, we will initially be looking to offer our Outdoor Picnic Parties and Golf Parties, in line with current Government guidelines.

As the Government guidelines change as we move through 2021, we shall look to offer parties for increased numbers, as well as other party packages too. Find out more information about our party packages here, or contact us at main@oddsfarm.co.uk to discuss your requirements

During this challenging time the support of our loyal Members has been more important than ever, and we are so grateful for all of the well wishes and kindness our guests have extended to us over recent months. Our key priority is always to provide an exceptional level of care to all our animals and rare breeds, and this has of course continued throughout our closure. We want to take this opportunity to thank of our Annual Members who have still continued with their memberships and support of Odds Farm Park throughout the pandemic.

All Annual Members have been contacted by email detailing the changes we have made following our re-opening. Should you have any further questions or queries, please contact the Memberships Team directly at memberships@oddsfarm.co.uk.

Upon our re-opening, should you wish to make any changes, to renew, or have any questions regarding your existing Memberships, we kindly ask that you get in touch with us via email. Due to changes in staff levels during our phased re-opening, it may not always be possible for us to make changes to your Membership during your visit to the Farm.

Yes, a wheelchair can still be hired for use, free of charge. This must be done so in advance of the day of your visit by getting in touch with the Visitor Services team, due to limited availability, and to allow for thorough cleaning between each use.

If you still have questions, or would like more information, please get in touch with us directly emailing main@oddsfarm.co.uk
