There’s been somewhat of a “Donkey Baby Boom” at family day out favourite Odds Farm Park over the past two weeks!
On Saturday 11 July, proud mum Looby gave birth to an adorable foal named Foggy. Just a few days later on Friday 17 July, Acacia gave birth to cute Figgy! Figgy was born at around 5pm and some lucky visitors saw him when he was only a few minutes old!
Both of the new arrivals are Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys. Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys originate from the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. Much smaller than normal Donkeys, they grow to maximum height of 36? (at the age of 3 years) but most are under this height, at between 30? and 34?.
Visitors to Odds Farm Park will be pleased to learn that they can see the new arrivals in the Outdoor Paddocks when they visit.
This Summer Holiday, children can meet plenty more Furry Friends and will also enjoy the daily Animal Activities and Demonstrations including Bunny Time, Cow Milking, Egg Collecting, Piggies Lunchtime and of course, Sheep Racing (weather permitting).
Open 10am until 5.30pm daily, Odds Farm Park is located just minutes from Junction 2 of the M40, near Beaconsfield and is easy to reach from all over Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Middlesex. For full details, visitors should call 01628 520188 or visit www.oddsfarm.co.uk.
