Livestock Assistant

We are an open farm park and rare breeds centre.

We are currently looking to recruit a general Livestock Assistant to be part of our Livestock Team.

You will be responsible for the general animal husbandry.

You will be involved in daily activities which involves public speaking and interaction with our guests.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Part time/flexible hours across a 7 day rota including some weekends and bank holidays.

Animal Activity Host

We are an open farm park and rare breeds centre.

You will be responsible for daily farm activities/ talks to the general public this involves public speaking alongside the animals.

Animal Barn Host

We are looking to recruit an Animal Barn Host at our award winning Farm Park close to nature and our lovely rare breed farm animals.

As an Animal Barn Host the core focus will be to ensure that all guests leave Odds Farm Park feeling completely satisfied with their visit to dedicated animal feeding area, the Animal Barn. The right candidate will be approachable and willing to answer any of the customer’s queries that they may have to the best of their ability. Good customer service skills are also required to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The Animal Barn Host will be a friendly face to meet and greet each guest as they enter the barn ensuring they are all fully aware and informed of all the necessary rules whilst in the Animal Barn. In addition to this, maintaining the high standards of cleanliness within the barn is also a key element to the role. As well, the Animal Barn Host will inform all our guests of the amazing animal activities run by the livestock team.

The right candidate will also have a passion for the role and a desire to learn about our farm animals to be able to spread that knowledge to the guests. In addition to this, excellent verbal communication skills with our customers and colleagues is important and the ability to work under pressure during our busier peak seasons as the animal barn is a popular area for our guests.

We are looking to recruit both full time and part time members of staff to join our small, friendly team. Hours will be flexible and variable across a 7 day rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.

Food & Beverage Assistant – Full Time

Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and a memorable day out? Are you enthusiastic about working with people, including both adults and children?

We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant within a unique environment, close to nature and farm animals, at Odds Farm Park.

The Catering Assistant will contribute to the smooth running of our award winning Catering Department, and is a very varied role. The Catering Assistant is flexible and willing to assist in all areas as required, including food preparation, front of house, food and coffee servery, as well as throughout of outdoor catering kiosks.

The right candidate will be willing and flexible to help in other areas of the attraction as required, such as with customer admissions, farm shop, and birthday party hosting.

Food & Beverage Supervisor

We are currently looking to recruit a Food & Beverage Supervisor within a unique environment, close to nature and farm animals, at Odds Farm Park.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will contribute to the smooth running of our award winning Catering Department, and is a very varied role. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is flexible and willing to assist in all areas as required, including food preparation, front of house, food and coffee servery, as well as throughout of outdoor catering kiosks.

Further duties will also include: management and training of the wider catering team, alongside the Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, responsibility for contributing to ensuring 5* Hygiene Rating is maintained, overseeing the smooth running of outside catering kiosks and some admin duties.

We are looking to recruit a team member with hospitality experience. In addition, the right candidate will have:

  • Great customer service skills and a passion for the role – previous customer service and/or sales experience preferably in the tourism, leisure, retail or entertainment industry
  • Great, positive interaction, verbal communication, with both customers and colleagues alike – a natural optimist
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, with mixed customer and audiences, whilst being able to manage larger groups/volumes of people
  • A flexible and versatile nature.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and contribute ideas that will improve and support team
  • Must be a strong team-player, whilst having the ability to manage situations on one’s own and confidently make decisions, whilst managing time wisely.

The General Assistant is flexible and willing to assist in all areas, and takes pride in ensuring that all customers have a truly excellent ‘guest experience’, through hosting at guest contact points at the Animal Barn; assisting within the Visitor Services department, through welcoming guests and processing admissions, retail sales, and basic guest admin; the Catering Department, preparing and serving at Food & Beverage points; supervising and taking care of outdoor play including waterplay, electric cars and mini golf.

In addition, maintaining the upkeep of the park, along with high standards of cleanliness throughout, is a key element to the role which all General Assistant take pride in.

Tractor & Trailer Ride Driver

We are looking to recruit a Tractor & Trailer Ride Driver and guide to help give tours of the Farm to our visitors. The role will include running Tractor &Trailer Rides at timed intervals throughout the day, delivering a guided talk during the ride, as well as completing daily operational checks.

Additional various other duties will be required between rides. The right candidate will hold a full driving licence, and will also have a passion and desire to interact with all our customers and an interest in working at a farm attraction, with excellent communication skills, will be flexible and versatile, and always wears a smile. Experience is preferred but full training will be given to the right applicant.

This is a part-time role and a temporary contract which will commence at the beginning of April and will conclude at the end of the Peak Season in October. The role will be fulfilled on both Saturday and Sunday, some week days will be available.

In addition, maintaining the upkeep of the park, along with high standards of cleanliness throughout, is a key element to the role which all Visitor Services Assistant take pride in.
