Visitor Services Supervisor – Full Time

We are currently looking to recruit a Visitor Services Supervisor, within a unique environment, close to nature and farms animals, at Odds Farm Park.

The core focus of the Visitor Services Supervisor is to ensure that each and every customer leaves Odds Farm Park with complete satisfaction, through providing an enjoyable and safe environment for children and adults alike to interact in and participate in an engaging day out together.

The Visitor Services Supervisor will contribute to and manage the smooth day-to-day running of the Visitor Services area, with a consistent level of excellent customer service across all touch points, including Retail, Customer Admissions and Administration. This will include management of customer service support, enquiries and bookings, as well as daily and weekly cash management.

The Visitor Services Supervisor will also contribute to achieving the daily sales team targets, as well as up selling products/merchandise throughout the Visitor Services area.

We are looking to recruit a team member with retail and cash handling experience. In addition, the right candidate will have:

  • Great customer service skills and a passion for the role – previous customer service and/or sales experience preferably in the tourism, leisure, retail or entertainment industry
  • Great, positive interaction, verbal communication, with both customers and colleagues alike – a natural optimist
  • Good numeracy skills and comprehension in understanding the application to a commercial operating business.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, with mixed customer and audiences, whilst being able to manage larger groups/volumes of people
  • A flexible and versatile nature.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and contribute ideas that will improve and support team
  • Must be a strong team-player, whilst having the ability to manage situations on one’s own and confidently make decisions, whilst managing time wisely.

Development and progression within the team will be available for those seeking personal growth.

Hours will be full-time and variable, across a 7 day rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

Livestock Assistant

We are an open farm park and rare breeds centre.

We are currently looking to recruit a general Livestock Assistant to be part of our Livestock Team.

You will be responsible for the general animal husbandry.

You will be involved in daily activities which involves public speaking and interaction with our guests.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Part time/flexible hours across a 7 day rota including some weekends and bank holidays.

Birthday Party Host – Part-Time

We are currently looking to recruit a Birthday Party Host, within a unique environment, close to nature and farm animals, at Odds Farm Park.

The core focus of the Birthday Party Host is to ensure that each and every customer leaves Odds Farm Park with complete satisfaction, through providing an enjoyable and safe environment for children and adults alike to interact in and participate in a memorable birthday experience.

The Birthday Party Host will contribute to the smooth running of the Birthday Party experiences, and is a varied role. The Birthday Party Host is flexible and willing to assist wherever needed, and takes pride in ensuring that all guests participate in positive memory making during their experience. Duties will include greeting and welcoming party families, preparing the celebration areas, preparing and serving meals, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained, and assisting the party family as required.

The General Assistant is flexible and willing to assist in all areas, and takes pride in ensuring that all customers have a truly excellent ‘guest experience’, through hosting at guest contact points at the Animal Barn; assisting within the Visitor Services department, through welcoming guests and processing admissions, retail sales, and basic guest admin; the Catering Department, preparing and serving at Food & Beverage points; supervising and taking care of outdoor play including waterplay, electric cars and mini golf.

In addition, maintaining the upkeep of the park, along with high standards of cleanliness throughout, is a key element to the role which all General Assistant take pride in.

Festive Assistant- Elf

The Director of Christmas Operations, Father Christmas, is recruiting some very special staff to join his Christmas Team at Odds Farm Park for the Christmas Spectacular, from 1st through until the 24th December. The position of “Elf” is a human-facing role, ensuring both human grown-ups their little human girls & boys receive a truly magical experience through the delivery of Elf-ceptional Customer Service.

The role is very varied. Some duties may include:

  • Meeting and Greeting human children upon arrival at the Christmas Spectacular.
  • Spreading Christmas cheer, by singing loud for all to hear.
  • Assisting in the Toyshop.
  • Remembering where Father Christmas parked his sleigh.
  • Helping children in the Elves’ Workshop to create their take home gift.
  • Sales of photography and souvenirs.
  • Checking Father Christmas’ naughty and nice list.
  • Assisting Mother Christmas with craft activities.

The right candidate will:

  • Be fun, confident and outgoing.
  • Be hard-working, professional and dedicated.
  • Work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • ALWAYS wear a smile.

No previous Elf-perience is required but enthusiasm for the role and for Christmas is essential. Full training will be given.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Starting date 01/12/2021.

October Half Term Temporary General Assistant
